We’re thrilled to announce the launch of CharityJob’s new Applicant Manager, an applicant tracking system designed to help you hire faster and smarter. Not only will it keep you organised, but it will allow you to examine CVs quickly and communicate with candidates directly from the tool. That means you no longer need to switch back and forth between emails, job boards, Excel spreadsheets and whatever else you’ve been using to keep track of things. But this is only the beginning of a truly great hiring product. Now, onto the nitty-gritty stuff—what does the Applicant Manager actually do? It’s simple. Post an ‘apply online’ job with us, and you’ll unlock access to a horde of amazing new features designed to help you stay organised and find the best candidates faster.

With our new Applicant Manager, you’ll be able to:

  • Screen candidates quickly—we scan CVs and give you a handy candidate profile
  • Track applications with ease—our hiring pipeline is easy to use and great for keeping things in order
  • Save time on communication—you’ll be able to create and personalise email templates for bulk communication
  • Collaborate with colleagues—multiple users can have access, which means you can share notes

How it works

We’ll email you as soon as a new application comes through. That way you can review and respond to candidates in real-time. Once you log into Applicant Manager, you’ll see all new applications in the ‘New applicant’ pipeline.

There, you can examine a candidate’s work history and qualifications, view their CV, read their cover letter and jot down notes on their suitability—all in one place! Then it’s up to you to move them through the pipelines as you see fit. You have the option to:

  • Shortlist the candidate
  • Move them to the interview stage
  • Mark them as unsuitable
  • Email them directly from the tool

When will this be available for me?

As of right now, all charities who recruit with us have access. It doesn’t matter if your job is live or expired, you can still see all the amazing stuff the new tool has to offer. And you don’t need to do anything to get set up. Simply log in to the Recruiter Zone and click on the new ‘Applicant Manager’ button in the navigation bar.

Of course, you’ll need to post an ‘apply online’ job to actually make use of the tool, but just think about how much easier the process will be once you do. And the best part? It’s absolutely free to use! There are no strings attached, we promise. We just want to ensure you have the best hiring experience possible, and this is the first step in making that vision a reality.
